CWUDay 4 - The early bird catches the….midges 🤨
An early rise to make the most of the day before the heavens opened. I made my way straight to the Torridon carpark and was greeted by a million midges. Hastily I made my way up the col and onwards to find the perfect spot looking onto the Triple Buttress, perfect if the cloud hadn’t been down! Within minutes it thankfully lifted but spent the next few hours playing hide and seek with me. It made for some interesting painting and heavy usage of the white paint!! Despite that

Inspirational Cape Wrath
CWU Day 2 from Kinloch Hourn has been AMAZING! An early start to make it along the hour long single track road 😳then a boat to Barrisdale, a hike up to the Col and then back down to Barrisdale Bay. I have a lot to learn about choosing my painting spot to best avoid midges, ants and ticks! Loads of inspiration, a few paintings. Let’s see what tomorrow brings 😁 of inspiration, a few paintings. Cape Wrath - Harry Potter Viaduct
CWU looking forward to Day 2 - of course I couldn’t come here and not do any running. It’s too beautiful not to. However, my art kit pack is twice as heavy as my spine pack = sneaking in a bit of extra weight training. 😜💪 So I ran on up some of the day 2 route and took a few photos that I can use for some later paintings. 🖼️
