Yorkshire Three Peaks Paintings

This exciting new collection captures the landscape and atmosphere of this iconic Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge. It includes original expressive paintings of Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The challenge which usually starts and finishes in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, is a 24 mile route that needs to be completed within 12 hours. It takes in great views from the mountains and exposes walkers and runners to the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.  The paintings look to express the feelings and emotions from those moments on the hills as well as the changing elements around us. They are inspired by Elaine's experience of ultrarunning races and training on these mountains for the Three Peaks Race, Barrier Pennine 50 and the Spine Race. These mountains hold memories of the many thousands of walkers, runners and mountain bikers who have taken on the challenge and been richly rewarded for their efforts.
