Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles, standing at 1,345 metres ( 4,413 feet). It makes up one of The National Three Peaks Challenge, alongside Scafell Pike and Snowdon as the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales. This challenge is to climb all of these mountains within 24 hours (including travel between them) and is a popular amongst walkers and runners in the UK.
